hey, i finally decided to go on here
i've had one of these things for a year but never touched it. lol.

you should get a 50mm f/1.8. it's only 75 dollars from B&H and it's a hell of a lot sharper than anything you've seen thus far. also, being f/1.8 its fast as hell for low light...you might just like it it's really versatile.

the only drawback is that 50 is a little tight on the Rebels...it looks something like a 78mm which is a mild telephoto. still though for its low light abilities and price you can't beat it.
